2017 will mark the 10th anniversary of the iPhone and it's looking like Apple has something major planned to celebrate the occasion. We're more than a year away from the launch of the iPhone 8, but because of Apple's ambitious plans for the device, there are already an abundance of rumors hinting at the impressive features coming in the 2017 iPhone.
Early rumors suggest it's going to be a radical redesign, with an edge-to-edge display that does away with the top and bottom bezels where features like the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and the front-facing camera are housed. Instead, Touch ID and the camera may be built directly into the display.
With that design, the display would take up the entire front of the iPhone, but it isn't clear if the display will grow to fit the iPhone or the iPhone will be shrunken down to fit the display. The display itself is said to be flexible OLED rather than an LCD, allowing Apple to introduce a thinner device that consumes less power and offers a better display with higher contrast ratio and more true to life colors.
As for the body, rumors suggest Apple is finally going to move away from the aluminum used in the iPhone 5, 5s, 6, 6s, and SE, instead re-adopting a glass body that's similar to the body that was used in the iPhone 4. At least one iPhone model coming in 2017 will use a glass body, according to Apple supplier Catcher Technology.
Inside, the iPhone 8 is expected to have a 10-nanometer A11 chip that will be both faster and more efficient, plus rumors suggest it could also include features like long-range wireless charging and bio metric additions like iris or facial scanning.
The iPhone 8 is still under development and will likely launch in the fall of 2017, and in the months ahead of its launch, we'll undoubtedly learn more about the specs of the device. In 2016, Apple is expected to release the iPhone 7, a device with more modest design changes.
Apple's plan to open three Apple Store locations in India may fall through following a ruling from the Indian finance ministry that says Apple must sell locally sourced goods if it wants to open stores in the country, reports Reuters.
In India, 30 percent of goods sold by foreign companies must be manufactured or produced in the country, a requirement Apple does not meet as its products are largely made in China. India last year exempted retailers selling state-of-the-art goods from the rule, prompting Apple to file a new application with the Indian government.
Apple was expected to receive an exemption from the rule, earning a recommendation from country's Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, but the ministry of finance has decided Apple's products do not fall into the cutting-edge technology category. A source told Reuters Apple did not provide enough material to justify the exemption.
"They did ask for a waiver but didn't provide any material on record to justify it. The decision was taken only after a thorough examination of their application," the source said.
The waiver is available only for investment in "state of the art" or "cutting-edge technology", he added.
Without the ability to open its own retail stores in the country, Apple will need to continue selling iOS and Mac devices in India through third-party distributors. Apple is eager to expand its business in India as it is a largely untapped market. Last quarter, Apple saw its revenue from India grow 56 percent, surpassing $1 billion.
The ministry of finance's ruling comes just after Tim Cook spent several days in India, where he met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other local business leaders, actors, politicians, and developers.
Apple has also announced the launch of a Maps development center in Hyderabad and an iOS app and design accelerator in Bangalore.
We’ve seen lots of glitches in iOS that let you put folders inside other folders or hide built-in apps you don’t want — but the latest in iOS 9.3 is probably the strangest yet. By simply changing your wallpaper, you can make your home screen folders completely round. Here’s how.
Like other home screen hacks, this one is almost certainly due to a bug that Apple will fix in future versions of iOS, but we can at least enjoy it for now. It’s unclear why this glitch happens, but using a tiny wallpaper makes it all possible.
To get round folders on your own iPhone or iPad, simply follow the steps below. Note you will need to be running a version of iOS 9.3 for this to work.
Find a very small image you can use as your wallpaper. You can download some here if needed by tapping and holding one of the images, then choosing Save Image
Go into the Photos app and find the image you just downloaded
Tap the share button, then select Use as Wallpaper
Tap Still, then tap Set
Tap Set Home Screen
Now when you return to your home screen, your folders will be completely round, instead of rounded squares. However, how well this trick works will depend on which device you have. One some, only certain folders — usually those further down the home screen — will change.
You might have to play around with this to get the results you’re happy with, then. But don’t become too attached to it, because it’s likely Apple will fix this bug in a future iOS update.

Apple released iOS 9.3 on March 21st, iOS 9.3.1 on March 31 and iOS 9.3.1 on May 16.
iOS 9.3 includes a number of new features such as Night Shift, ability to protect notes with a password or Touch ID, revamped News app, support for Apple Music in CarPlay, information about the data usage while using Wi-Fi assist, updated health app and lots more.
iOS 9.3.1 and iOS 9.3.2 include a number of bug fixes and security improvements.
There is currently no tool available to jailbreak iOS 9.3 or jailbreak iOS 9.3.1. However, hackers have shown that it was possible to jailbreak iOS 9.3 beta, so we hope a jailbreak for iOS 9.3.2 or iOS 9.3.1 will be released soon. You can jailbreak iOS 9.1 or lower currently using Pangu jailbreak tool. We’ll let you know as soon we’ve any further updates.

Getting iTunes to automatically recognize and backup your device may not be the easiest thing in the world to do, but is definitely worth it if you are running low on disk space. You will be using commands lines and functions, so a little familiarity with that would be helpful. With or without previous knowledge of those functions, you’ll need your mobile device, a USB cable to hookup to your computer and an external drive. Once you have all that we are ready to go.
Step 1.
Connect your external hard drive to the computer. Make sure you have an external with enough space to hold your iPhone or iPad backup(s). You can create a new folder on the drive called “iPhoneiTunesBackups” to make sure we can find the folder later and properly address it in the following steps.
Step 2.
Open a new Finder Window by opening Finder (Command + Spacebar and type Finder) and going to File -> New Finder Window.
In that new Finder window type Command+Shift+G to open the go-to-folder path. In the blank text field enter:
~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/
Step 3.
This will take you directly to the folder we will be working with. Select the folder titled “Backup” and create a copy.
Step 4.
Go to your external drive and find the folder you just created. My folder is called iPhoneiTunesBackups. We are going to paste the copy from Step 3 into the folder on our drive.
Step 5.
Make sure that the folder is correctly copied. Now, back in the original folder (the one found entering ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/ into Finder) rename the folder to BackupOld or something along those lines.
You can also delete this folder, but I think it’s always good to keep things just in case you want to go back to the original.
Step 6.
Open Terminal (Command + Spacebar and type Terminal) and enter the following:
You will need to change the sections after Volumes to match the name of your external drive -> MYPASSPORT and the name of the folder on your external drive ->iPhoneiTunesBackups. Once you have checked that all of that is accurate in Terminal, you can hit enter/return. Quit Terminal.
Step 7.
After quitting Terminal, you may be wonder what the heck just happened. So to confirm that Step 6 did anything you are going to repeat Step 2. Open a new Finder Window by opening Finder (Command + Spacebar and type Finder) and going to File -> New Finder Window. In that new Finder window type Command+Shift+G to open the go-to-folder path. In the blank text field enter:~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/(should already be saved in the text field).
If our steps were successful, you will see the Old Backup folder as well as the new, copied Backup folder with an arrow pointing to it. That just means that this Folder is now linking to the Folder that exists on your external.
Step 8.
Open iTunes and connect your device. Find the device within iTunes and in the Backups section, click This Computer and choose Back Up Now. This new backup will be saved on your external hard drive if all the steps above were done correctly.
Step 9.
Check to make sure your most recent back was actually saved onto your backup folder on the external. You’ll be able to tell by the time stamp or if there is a new file that was not there before.
Once that has been confirmed you are good to go. Every time you back up your iOS device to your computer, iTunes will store that backup on your external. Of course, your external needs to be plugged in whenever you wish to create a new backup.
If you would like to undo all of this lovely work, simply go back to ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/ and delete the folder with the arrow on it. Then change the name of the old folder back to Backup. That’s all there is to it.

Apple won't release its next-generation iPhone until the fall of 2016, so there are still months of development ahead. For the current time, Apple's flagship iPhones are the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, released to the public in September of 2015.
Though it will be several months before the new iPhone 7 launches, rumors about the device started trickling out in January of 2016. We've already gleaned many details about the upcoming iPhone, giving us some information on what to expect when it debuts.
Since the 3GS launched in 2009, Apple has used an alternating "S" naming formula to mark years where the iPhone does not receive a major redesign, saving its numbered upgrades for years where design changes are introduced. Releases have been as follows:
2007 - iPhone 2G
2008 - iPhone 3G
2009 - iPhone 3GS
2010 - iPhone 4 (new design)
2011 - iPhone 4s
2012 - iPhone 5 (new design)
2013 - iPhone 5s
2014 - iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus (new design)
2015 - iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus
The next-generation iPhone is expected to be called the iPhone 7. 2015 marked an "S" iPhone upgrade year that introduced new features such as an improved camera and a better processor, but 2016 will bring an even-year upgrade that will include a new iPhone design in addition to new features.
Apple will continue releasing two versions of each iPhone, so we can expect to see an iPhone 7 and an iPhone 7 Plus in 2016. Apple is said to be planning to stick to the 4.7- and 5.5-inch screen sizes it first introduced with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
